The Las Vegas Cubs Scout team took their group of high school players from Las Vegas and California to the annual Perfect Game World Series in Mesa, Arizona.  The tournament brought together some of the best travel teams in the country, such as the Evo-Shield Canes, Orlando Scorpions, Dallas Patriots and GBG Marucci.  All games took place at the spring training facility for the Chicago Cubs at Cubs Park Riverview.

This was the second event the 2016 inaugural Las Vegas Cubs Scout Team has participated in this summer. Head Coach Mike Bryant and his trusted assistant coaches, Brian Kaplan and Tony Gallo are in the process of gathering some of the top high school players from the western region to participate in their annual program. Joining the Las Vegas Cubs at the Perfect Game event were local Santa Barbara products, Kyle Gonzalez and Ryan Guardino from San Marcos High School and Joe Firestone and Bijan Palme from Santa Barbara High School.
